No Tricks, Just Treats at Bristow Center

There’s nothing we love more than turning community moments into unforgettable memories. This fall, VVS Events & Marketing is partnering with Rappaport to bring a premium, turnkey experience to Bristow Center: Trick-or-Treat and Movie Night. From candy-filled strolls to music, games, and a family-friendly film on the big wall, this is one of those Northern Virginia fall events that feels like pure seasonal magic—easy, fun, and made for all ages.

Highlights of the Day


  • Candy Crawl across the CenterStart at our Guest Services tent to register, pick up your event guide, and claim your trick-or-treat bag (while supplies last). Then make your way around the Center as participating merchants—clearly marked with event signage—hand out sweets. Up to 40 retailers are expected to join the Premium Candy Crawl, creating a safe, walkable route for little monsters, superheroes, and princesses alike.


  • LED Pumpkin ArchStep through our LED-illuminated Pumpkin Arch to enter the heart of the festivities. It’s a glowing beacon for photo ops and a festive landmark to help families navigate the event space.


  • Fall-Themed Photo OpCapture the season with a cozy, charming backdrop: wooden feature wall, haybales, pumpkins, and corn stalks arranged for Insta-worthy snaps. It’s the perfect spot for family portraits and costume close-ups.


  • Live DJ and Monster Mash Dance PartyFrom 4 PM until the movie begins, DJ Lenny (DLB Charters & Entertainment) keeps energy high with feel-good favorites. Don’t miss the “Monster Mash Freeze Dance”—kids can win Ring Pop prizes just for joining the fun.


  • Pre-Movie Trivia, Games, and PrizesAs dusk approaches, gather for friendly competition: movie-themed trivia, Kid v. Parents charades, and a lively round of Simon Says. Quick prizes add to the excitement while we count down to showtime.


  • Movie Night on the Big WallWhen the sun sets, settle in for a family-friendly feature (title TBA) presented with premium A/V. Bring chairs and blankets for cozy viewing under the autumn sky.


  • Fresh-Popped PopcornNothing says movie night like fresh popcorn. Enjoy complimentary servings (250 total; while supplies last) with classic kernels, butter, and those nostalgic paper bags.

Bristow Center’s annual Trick-or-Treat and Movie Night creates a safe, walkable alternative to door-to-door trick-or-treating, while also spotlighting the merchants who serve the community year-round. If you peek at last year’s media album, you’ll notice the smiles: costumed kiddos mastering Freeze Dance, parents cheering during charades, and friends lingering after the credits, not quite ready for the night to end.   • Cost: Free community event. Popcorn and trick-or-treat bags are complimentary while supplies last.

  • RSVP: Let us know you’re coming and get updates.

  • What to Bring: Costumes encouraged! Bring a reusable tote or grab a complimentary treat bag at Guest Services (while supplies last). Pack blankets or lawn chairs for the movie, and layers for cooler temps after sunset.

  • Parking and Access: Ample free parking is available on-site. The event area is stroller-friendly; ADA access is available throughout the Center.

  • How to Participate: Visit Guest Services first to register to win and pick up your event guide. Look for participating merchant signs on storefronts during the Candy Crawl.
