Ghosts, goblins, and even a few flamingoes took over Hilltop Plaza this October for a Trick-or-Treat event that was nothing short of spectacular. If you’ve ever wondered what community spirit looks like in action, picture hundreds of costumed families filling the plaza, dancing to the Monster Mash, and creating memories (and collecting plenty of candy) together.
From a lively dance party to creative crafts, the day was packed with family-friendly fun. Whether you joined us in your best costume or just came for the atmosphere, it was a day to remember. Let’s take a look back at the highlights that made this year’s celebration so special.
A Plaza Transformed
On October 19th, Hilltop Plaza transformed into the ultimate Halloween destination. With the sun shining and temperatures in the low 70s, the weather couldn't have been more perfect for an afternoon of outdoor fun.
Over 900 guests visited the center throughout the event, bringing an electric energy to the space. The centerpiece of the day was the Fall-themed photo op near the fountain. Families lined up to snap selfies against a festive backdrop complete with hay bales, pumpkins, corn stalks, and scarecrows—the perfect setting for capturing those creative costumes.
Dancing, Crafts, and Community Fun
It wasn't just about the candy (though there was plenty of that!). The entertainment kept the crowd moving and smiling all afternoon.
Monster Mash Dance Party
The DJ kept the vibes high with upbeat, family-friendly tunes that had everyone moving. The "Monster Mash Freeze Dance" was a massive hit, with kids showing off their best moves to win candy necklace prizes. Seeing who could dance the longest became a friendly competition that brought out the giggles in everyone.

Creative Corners
For those needing a break from the dance floor, the balloon artist was a crowd favorite. Kids walked away with colorful creations ranging from spiders and swords to quacking ducks.
A special shoutout goes to Dental Land Pediatrics, who hosted the "Jibbitz BOO-tique." This station was buzzing with activity as children customized their own silicone bracelets with fun charms—a unique keepsake to take home alongside their sweet treats.
Exceptional Merchant Participation
Community events are only as successful as the people who support them, and the merchants at Hilltop Plaza truly stepped up.
With over 15 participating stores, families enjoyed a "Premium Candy Crawl" that took them all around the center. Merchants were easily identified by special signs on their doors, inviting trick-or-treaters in for a surprise. It was heartwarming to see businesses like Jersey Mike’s Subs, My Eye Dr., Anytime Fitness, and Kids First Swim Schools (among many others) engaging so warmly with the local families.
One guest summed it up perfectly: "The merchant participation was incredible this year! Best. Trick-or-Treat. Ever."
Ready for the Next Celebration?
The Hilltop Plaza Trick-or-Treat event was a resounding success, bringing together 374 registered guests for a day of joy and connection. Seeing the plaza filled with happy families and thriving businesses is exactly why we love what we do at VVS Events.
If you missed out on the spooky fun, don't worry! Rumor has it that plans are already brewing for the holiday season. We can't wait to see you there.
Until next time, keep those smiles bright!
