DLG Company Picnic at Ida Lee Regional Park: A Fall Afternoon to Remember

There’s something about crisp fall air, a blanket of leaves underfoot, and a park full of laughter that brings people together. On Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 12:00–4:00 PM, VVS Events & Marketing is proud to produce the DLG Company Picnic at Ida Lee Regional Park in Leesburg, VA. This private, family-friendly gathering is a turnkey celebration of teamwork, creativity, and community—crafted with the same care we bring to Northern Virginia fall events all season long.

Highlights of the Day

We’re turning Ida Lee Regional Park into a playground of imagination. First stop: our Hosted DIY Drinking Glass Decorating station. Guests can choose from 50 glass-handled mason jars or 50 sleek acrylic water bottles with lids and straws, then make them their own. Acrylic paints and pens, along with rub-on vinyl transfer designs, spark endless personalization—think bold patterns, initials, and inside jokes. Two activity hosts will guide the process step-by-step, and we’ll seal and dry each piece so every guest leaves with a polished, ready-to-use tumbler in a take-home box.

Next, slow down with Succulent Pot Painting, where creativity meets calm. Choose a 2" terracotta pot, doodle and letter with acrylic pens, then select from a variety of live succulents. We’ll help with the transfer and teach simple misting and care so each mini plant becomes a cheerful desk buddy or windowsill reminder of a great day.

If kinetic color is more your style, the BlendSpin Spin Art Bike is pure pedal-powered joy. Hop on, find your rhythm, and watch paint splashes swirl into one-of-a-kind masterpieces on sturdy cardboard rounds. With two art attendants on hand and supplies for up to 200 participants, the spin art gallery will grow as the afternoon rolls on—drying racks at the ready.

To capture the moment, our caricature artist, Dina Doodles, will be sketching quick portraits that exaggerate all the best features in the most endearing way. And for the little ones (and the young at heart), face painting by Lucky Ducky Dezigns’ Marzeena adds butterflies, superheroes, and sparkles to match the fall magic. Rustic straw bales complete the scene with cozy, seasonal charm—perfect for lounging, photos, and a relaxed picnic vibe.

At a recent VVS picnic activation, a quiet intern hopped on our spin art bike, pedaled like a pro, and had coworkers cheering as paint spiraled into a frame-worthy piece. • What to Bring: Your creative spirit! We’ll provide all supplies for the DIY stations, spin art bike, caricatures, and face painting. Comfortable picnic attire recommended.

  • Personalize a mason jar or acrylic water bottle—our hosts will help with design ideas and sealing.

  • Decorate and plant your own succulent in a hand-drawn terracotta pot.

  • Pedal the BlendSpin bike and create a whirl of color to take home.

  • Get sketched by our caricature artist and add a little face-painted flair to your day.
