The Lanham Crossing Station Family Fun Festival on April 26, 2025, was a spectacular celebration of community, creativity, and connection! Despite a drizzly start, the event brought together over 350 attendees who filled the Lanham Crossing Shopping Center with energy and excitement. Here’s a look back at the highlights that made the festival an unforgettable experience:

A Day of Fun, Entertainment, and Family Smiles

From the moment guests arrived, it was clear the Family Fun Fest was crafted for all ages. The lively beats of the DJ set the tone, creating a vibrant atmosphere that had both kids and adults dancing along. The sweet scents of hand-spun cotton candy and freshly popped popcorn filled the air, giving families a delicious treat to enjoy.

For the little ones, it was all about adventure and imagination! Kids lined up eagerly to meet their favorite characters, Spiderman and Princess Tiana, who charmed guests with their warm smiles and photo-worthy poses. Talented face painters transformed young attendees into their favorite characters—from superheroes to magical creatures.

The interactive “Play & Create Zone” was a creative hotspot, with families crafting colorful tie-dye t-shirts (a hit for all ages!). Meanwhile, the bounce house and obstacle course provided endless excitement and sparked the laughter of kids delighted by every jump and turn.

Adults found their own oasis at the Parents Retreat, hosted by Revive Beauty with Monique, where they enjoyed relaxation and pampering amidst the day's festivities.



Unique Experiences for All Ages

One of the day’s biggest highlights? The Touch-a-Truck experience, which invited kids (and some excited parents) to get up close with a fire truck and ambulance, courtesy of the PG County Fire Department. The flashing lights and shiny vehicles were magnetic for curious minds, creating smiles and photo moments guaranteed to last a lifetime.

Local vendors added a special touch to the festival. The Juried Vendor Market showcased unique treasures from businesses like Designs by Punnee, DMV Insurance Agency, and more. Guests loved supporting these creative shops and discovering items that were as delightful as they were diverse.

The Family Fun Fest wasn’t just about fun and games. It was about coming together as a community and celebrating the things that make Lanham special. Attendees from all walks of life mingled, created new memories, and supported local businesses, embodying the event’s mission of unity and joy.

One festival guest shared, “It’s amazing to see the shopping center hosting an event like this! I got gifts for my friends from the vendors and loved taking pictures with Spiderman. My little one couldn’t stop talking about the fire truck!”
