West End Village Trick-or-Treat: A Spooky Success Story

What a way to kick off the Halloween season! On October 25th, the plaza at West End Village transformed into a vibrant hub of spooky fun, welcoming families for an afternoon of costumes, creativity, and community connection.

From tiny dragons and fairies to brave police officers, the costumes were out in full force. It was incredible to see the community come together to celebrate, and the energy was absolutely electric. If you missed out (or just want to relive the magic), here is a look back at how we celebrated.

A Hauntingly Good Time

The event kicked off with excitement as guests checked in to receive their West End Village glow-in-the-dark cups and festive Trick-or-Treat totes. But the fun didn’t stop at registration.

One of the biggest hits of the day was the Jibbitz BOO-tique. Kids (and parents!) loved customizing their own silicone bracelets with a choice of themed charms. It was a great way for attendees to express their unique style before hitting the candy trail.

Two children at a checkered table work on crafts; one in a white costume sorts colorful pieces, the other in yellow focuses intently.

Creative Station

Over at the Creation Station, imagination ran wild. Young artists crafted wooden ghost and pumpkin magnets and colored in spooky activity sheets. It offered a nice moment for families to sit, create, and enjoy the beautiful sunny weather together.

Karate Chops and Dance Moves

The energy stayed high all afternoon thanks to our live DJ, who kept everyone moving with fun, upbeat tracks. We saw some impressive dance moves in the plaza, with prizes awarded to the best dancers and standout costumes.

Adding a little action to the mix, One Kicks Martial Arts of Alexandria was on-site giving kids the chance to showcase their karate skills.

Breaking a board for extra candy? That is definitely a trick-or-treat memory worth keeping!

The Premium Candy Crawl

Of course, it wouldn’t be Halloween without the candy. Families navigated the center for our Premium Candy Crawl, visiting participating merchants who were ready with treats and smiles.

A huge thank you to our participating merchants who helped make this event special:

  • AG Nails and Spa

  • City Kitchen

  • Get Air

  • Jersey Mikes

  • Kings Cleaners

  • New Image Hair Salon

  • Onekick Martial Arts of Alexandria

  • Taste of Asia

  • Wiygul Automotive Clinic

Community Feedback

We love creating experiences that leave a lasting impression, and the feedback from this year’s Trick-or-Treat has been heartwarming.

"We had such a blast! The kids loved all the activities," one parent told us. Another guest mentioned, "It’s the best way to kick off Halloween fun with the family."

With over 200 attendees and 875 onsite impressions, the event was a resounding success for the community and our merchants alike.
