What a night! On September 20th, we transformed the Fox Chapel Shopping Center into an enchanting open-air cinema for a community movie night that was one for the books. The evening was filled with laughter, games, and the timeless magic of Disney, proving once again that a shared experience can bring a community together in a powerful way. For our client, Rappaport, it was an opportunity to create lasting memories and drive significant engagement—and the event delivered on all fronts.
The goal was simple: host an unforgettable evening for families that not only provided top-tier entertainment but also highlighted the vibrant businesses within the shopping center. With 150 attendees and an estimated 750 onsite impressions, the event buzzed with energy from start to finish. The weather couldn't have been more perfect—a sunny, 79-degree evening set the stage for a perfect night under the stars.
An Evening Packed with Fun and Excitement
From the moment families arrived, the atmosphere was electric. Our team greeted guests at the check-in station, where everyone received a raffle ticket, sparking immediate anticipation for the prizes to come.
Before the main feature, the event space was a hub of activity. Our live DJ got the party started, leading high-energy dance competitions and games that had both kids and parents on their feet. Guests tested their knowledge with pre-movie trivia and enjoyed a spirited round of Fall Bingo. Meanwhile, the Chalk Zone Creation Station became a colorful masterpiece as young artists let their creativity run wild.
Of course, no movie night is complete without classic concessions. The delightful aroma of fresh popcorn filled the air, with our team serving 250 portions alongside 200 servings of candy. It was the perfect fuel for an evening of fun.
Highlighting Community & Tenant Partnerships
This event was a true celebration of community, made even more special by the participation of Fox Chapel's wonderful tenants. Their involvement turned a fun night into a meaningful community gathering.
EZEE Laundromat and Indian Palace Bar & Tandoor generously donated a total of 10 gift cards for our raffle, creating extra excitement for attendees. Indian Palace also ran a special "Movie Night Dinner," offering a delicious and convenient dining option for families.
We were also thrilled to have Hope Grows Child Development Center join us. They set up a table to connect with parents, handing out apple juice, chips, and application packets to interested families. Their presence added another layer of community connection to the event.
The Grand Finale: Lilo & Stitch on the Big Screen
As dusk settled, the main event began. The 32-foot inflatable movie screen rose to its full height, creating a spectacular backdrop against the evening sky. The premium A/V setup ensured crystal-clear picture and sound, making the screening of Disney's Lilo & Stitch a truly cinematic experience. Shared laughter and smiles filled the parking lot, bringing a perfect close to a magical evening.
