There is something special about seeing a community come together, especially when costumes and candy are involved! On October 26, 2025, the VVS team had the pleasure of executing the "Trick-or-Treat" event at Towers Shopping Center. Despite the chilly weather, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and buzzing with excitement.
Events like these are about more than just sweets; they are about creating memorable experiences for families and driving meaningful foot traffic for our merchant partners. With over 650 attendees and 1,000 onsite impressions, this year’s activation was a resounding success that brought the upper level of the shopping center to life.
A Spooky Start to the Day
The enthusiasm was palpable before we even officially opened. By 12:30 PM, a line of eager guests had already formed, all hoping to be among the first 200 to snag a branded pumpkin bag. It’s always a great sign when the community is ready to engage before the first song even plays!

Once checked in via our streamlined QR code system—which captured 539 registrations—families were off to the races. The flow of the event was designed to move guests from the check-in area through various engagement points, ensuring that the entire center felt the energy.
Creativity and Engagement
We believe experiential marketing works best when guests can get hands-on. The "Jibbitz BOO-tique" was an instant hit, with children designing their own Croc charm bracelets. Seeing 300 kids walking away with custom creations was definitely a highlight.
Inside the center, the "Creation Station" offered a space for personal expression. Guests crafted wooden pumpkin magnets and assembled spooky beadable pens and keychains. These DIY zones allowed families to pause, create something together, and stay on-site longer, which is a win for everyone involved.
Driving Traffic to Merchants
The heart of this event was the Premium Candy Crawl. Armed with their pumpkin bags, families ventured to participating merchants like Cava, Mission BBQ, and Firehouse Subs to collect treats.
We supported this with "Starter Candy" bags for the merchants, ensuring they were ready for the rush. This crawl isn't just fun for the kids; it puts potential customers right at the storefronts of businesses they might not visit daily. From Verizon Wireless to the new Great Wall, seeing the merchants engage with the community created a fantastic synergy between the property and its tenants.
Entertainment That Kept the Energy High
Throughout the afternoon, our live DJ kept the vibes upbeat with family-friendly tracks. The "Monster Mash Freeze Dance" contest was a crowd favorite, with kids showing off their best moves to win candy necklaces.
To top it all off, balloon artists and glitter tattoo stations added that extra bit of sparkle. We heard countless parents say, "I really appreciate you all coming out each year," and asking when we would be back. That is the kind of lasting impression we strive to build.
Bringing Communities Together
The Towers Shopping Center Trick-or-Treat event proved once again that well-executed community activations drive results. By combining entertainment, creativity, and tenant involvement, we created an afternoon that families will remember—and a busy day for the retailers who serve them.
If you are looking to bring this level of engagement to your property, we would love to chat about your next event.
